Why We Started B&B JAPANICHE

The idea for B&B JAPANICHE was born from my own travels.
Over the years, I have been fortunate to receive kindness and help from many people in different countries. While famous sights were beautiful, what stayed with me the most were moments of connection—conversations with locals, shared meals, and small glimpses of everyday life.
Through this guesthouse, I hope to give something back by offering travelers a place where they can experience Japan not simply as visitors, but as temporary locals.
This idea naturally shaped how we host our guests and the kind of space we wanted to create.

The owner lives on the third floor of the building, allowing for quick support when needed, while always fully respecting guests’ privacy.

Meet Ponta

Ponta is our family dog and a gentle presence in our everyday life at B&B JAPANICHE.

He is a little shy at first, but calm and well-mannered. You may see him quietly spending time nearby, but he does not enter guest rooms or shared spaces without invitation.

For guests who enjoy dogs, Ponta often becomes a small highlight of their stay.
For those who prefer to keep some distance, please be assured that your comfort and privacy are always respected.
